Dan proposes and they move to LA!
Dan and Sam stop in Colorado while they wait for their stuff to be moved to California. He surprises Sam by proposing while they are biking Vail Pass and she says yes!
June 2021
Living in Chicago
The two spend most of the next year enjoying being home. They fly back and forth to Florida to visit family a few times. They also spend the month of December in Flagstaff, Arizona enjoying the mountains.
2020 to 2021
COVID-cation
Sam and Dan embark on a yearlong COVID-cation, starting with an RV trip from Montana to California.
March 2020
COVID-19
COVID hits. Sam and Dan decide to go to Florida for a long weekend until things settle down. Things do not settle down. They spend the next 4 months there with Nancy, Dan's sister, brother-in-law, niece (Lucille) and nephew (Rocco), Sam's niece (Zain), Lilac, two cats, and a hedgehog. During that time, Lucille puts on 83 magic shows, Sam completes 8 paint-by-numbers and forces everyone to become (mostly) vegetarian, they place 236 grames of scrabble, celebrate four family birthdays, and Dan began his hobby of making jerky. Lilac is thriving.
September 2018
Lilac joins the family
Dan goes away for a weekend golf trip and comes home to Lilac, the foster pup that Sam rescued while he was away. They quickly fall in love with her and become foster fails. Lilac is their forever pup.
August 2018
Moving in together
Sam and Dan get their first apartment together - a 700-square-foot studio in Chicago. Over the next 18 months, they travel to many places including Bonaire (where they get scuba certified), Iceland, Vegas, Israel, Florida and Vermont. They also host friends for a St Patty’s day party and family.
Summer 2018
Africa, Alaska and the western US
Dan graduates from Wharton! The two spend their summer traveling to Tanzania, Alaska, and the Western United States before moving to Chicago.
2016 to 2018
Wharton, NYC, and (lots of) travels
Dan moves to Philadelphia to attend The Wharton School of Business. Sam moves to Chelsea in New York. They go to London for the holidays. Dan spends his summer internship in NYC and they travel to Peru together. Sam spends the end of 2017 and early 2018 in Australia and Bali. Dan visits her in Bali for his spring break.
Spring 2016
Before leaving California
Dan decides to go to Wharton for business school! Before heading east, Sam and Dan venture to Alaska, Joshua Tree and Hawaii. They both spend their summers traveling (Dan to Tanzania and Croatia; Sam to Bali, Thailand, and the Philippines). After traveling, Dan moves to Philadelphia and Sam moves to NYC.
November 2015
First camping trip together
Dan somehow convinces Sam to go camping with him in November at Sequoia National Park where he promises it won't be "that cold." It blizzards and Dan gets his Jeep stuck in a parking lot overnight until a forest ranger can come and dig it out in the morning. Sam decides the next trip they go on will be to Hawaii. (Which it is.)
October 2015
Sam and Dan begin dating
After a summer as ~just friends~, Sam and Dan started dating. One of their first dates was to see Zac Brown Band at the Hollywood Bowl. They also may or may not have met the real Johnny Depp.
January 18, 2015
Meet Cute
Sam and Dan meet at the Bungalow in Santa Monica while out with friends. Dan pulls Sam out of the way of a fight that broke out at the bar. They agree to study for the GMAT together. Sam saves Dan in her phone as Danny GMAT.
